I realize my last blog post also had some animal print going on it it. Well i have a formula going on right now: Me pplus animal print equalls love. Yeah…so get ready for more, because this is only the beginning! hehe
Sometimes I get stuck on a print or color and just wear the heck out of it until I find something new I love. So while animal print may seen redundant to you, it is still lighting up my life right now. So bear with me while I get all my cheetah and leopard print outfits out of my system.
What trend/color combo/pattern are you stuck on right now?
Shoes: Target, Skirt: Revived dress from Walmart, Top: Ross, Necklace and Bracelets: Bealls
And just for your information it is still 70 degrees here in sunny Arizona so I am gonna keep wearing my sandals! I love me a nice wedge.
Welcome to the most absolute darling, cute store ever. The concept was simply fantastic. They had a soda/candy/pastry bar in the back and the rest of the store was vintage merchandise. SO fun…and really unique! Definitely a store I could lose track of time in.
Now onto the outfit details! I was going out on a hot date with my husband to the Arizona Science Center. Yeah, we are kinda geeky like that. The first Friday of the month is adult’s night and after five it is free for anyone over 21. But first we stopped for some grub at a fab little burger joint called two hippies. But, as you can see the store next door really caught my attention.
We are going into the fall season here in AZ since the temperatures are getting down in the 80′s. So I decided to mimic a spring look with fall colors. Wearing the blouse under a dress was a trend over spring and summer, but to switch up the trend for a more sophisticated night look I used animal print and black. And bam-pow, great little date night outfit made!

What are some looks that you are carrying over into the chillier months? How are you stretching your wardrobes to get maximum versatility?
Have a fabulous Wednesday! It is Wednesday right? Yeah that’s the way this week is going.
I hope you got lots of candy and no stomach aches. This year me and my hubby dressed up as….drum roll please! If you guessed Mickey and Minnie Mouse, you guessed correctly!
We had so much fun hosting a little shin dig at our house. I loved seeing all the fun costumes. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was too busy being Minnie Mouse! Oopsies. But luckily there were 10 other people with cameras. Here a few fun pics from the night. Better late than never right? Recently that is how things have been going!
Fun fact about the above photo: All the men are dental students! Whoa?! Who woulda guessed?
Future dentists of America right here people! Batman and Robin were my favorite!
There is so much awesome in the above picture! These ladies know how to par-tay.
Costume break down: Minnie and then Mickey

Hey Mickey, you’re so fine, you’re so fine! You blow my mind! Hey Mickey. Everybody know Minnie loves Mickey <3
Happy Late Halloween! What did you dress up as this year?
Without fail vintage florals get me every time. They are just so darned feminine and versatile, and lets face it. I am a sucker for versatility just as much as I am for the floral patterns.
My sister gave me a dress that I turned into a skirt, and that skirt is what I am wearing in this post! Neat-o huh? The original dress had an Asian vibe to it with a big red tie sash and a very deep V-neck. Not my favorite style, but with a little TLC I turned this dress into a brand spankin’ new skirt that I love.
I added a jeweled chunky bracelet to spice up the outfit’s glam factor. I felt important with all those fake diamonds on my wrist- oh yeah. Like red carpet important. It’s amazing what accessories can do right?
Shoes: Target, Blouse: Forever 21, Skirt: Dress Revived from my sister, Bracelet: Target
Bonus points: This skirt is great for twirling in!
Have you refashioned anything fabulous lately? I’d love to know your tips and tricks!
Finally!! Yes, I can finally say that I have finished sewing this powder blue beauty. I bought the fabric around 3 1/2 years ago for $3 a yard (a real steal for lace)….and I guess I have been a little busy because I didn’t get it finished until just recently!!
Do you ever just buy something because you love it? But then you don’t really know what to wear it with, or where you will wear it, or when you will have time to work on it? That is of one of my nasty habits. Thankfully though, with this dress I didn’t give up! It takes a lot of time when doing all the pattern work and sewing for a dress. So I took generous breaks in between all of my sewing and what not. Hence not finishing for 3 years…
I am ecstatic now that it is done. And really custom made dresses are the best for tailoring purposes. It is so difficult to find dresses that fit as well as custom tailored ones. Anywho- I’m very happy with it and my hubby loved it (bonus points!)
And believe it or not- this is my very first light blue dress. Why have I waited so long? I love the color! I paired it with some nude heels and a light blue sparkly necklace that I snagged for a deal at my fav store: Target. Yeah, cus I’m fancy like that.
Shoes & Necklace: Target, Dress & Sash: Made by me (fabric from Joanns 3 yrs ago)
Also, just out of curiosity- do you think too much lace looks matronly? I would love to know your opinions.
Have a beautiful Sunday!
This color-blocked outfit came to me after I had strewn probably five other outfits on the floor (I am super excited to clean up the mess…later). The first thing I put on is what I normally stick with, but yesterday I had a long list of errands and outings to attend.
Some of them being: the dentist, meeting with my banker, going on a lunch date, shopping and attending a barbecue. The barbecue is the one outing that made deciding what to wear such a doozy. And of course I wasn’t going to have time to change in between any of these events- nor did I really want to.
I settled on a simple pair of slacks and a lose blue shirt (trying to keep it breezy), but still semi-professional. Lately I have been kind of falling in love with fitted slacks. While this outfit may not have worked for every single scenario listed above, I liked it. Appropriate attire or not- if you like what you wear, who cares?

Happy Saturday! And best of luck to you as you pick out your gorgeous outfits!
So while everywhere else in the U.S. right now people are getting excited for fall, I’m over here like, “hey, is it socially acceptable to wear my swimsuit in public when it is over 110 degrees?” I keep looking at Pinterest fall fashion boards and I have to remind myself that I won’t have much of a fall here to dress for-at least for a while.
I tried wearing a light scarf with a t-shirt yesterday and I was burning up. It’ll be a while before I try that again. I don’t know about fall weather, but I could sure do without the blistering hot weather. So more dresses it is! The perfect antidote for a toasty hot day. That and ice cream of coarse.
Shoes & Dress: Target, Bracelet: Walmart
Wherever you are, enjoy the day.
Here we are again at Sunday. A week gone by and what do I have to show for it? Well, quite a bit actually. Do you see those sunglasses on top of my head? Well I scored them for a buck. Yeah, that’s right. One buck. You are probably thinking “Where did she find such a fabulous inexpensive pair of sunglasses?” Okay- I’ll let you in on the classy retailer I purchased them from; the dollar general. What?!
I know you are probably freaking out in front of your computers/phones right now. Remain calm, there is plenty for everyone. Haha- yes I lose my sunglasses on a daily basis so I stock up with my fancy dollar store finds when I can
Enough about the good ol’ dollar store though. I saw a dress similar to the one I am wearing at anthro a while ago, but it was way more than what I would usually pay for a dress. So when I happened across this jem in Ross I knew we would be pals. I brought in the waste a bit and voila! A lovely colorful dress for the ripe price of $15. Thanks again Ross. I paired the dress with a pair of brown wedges for a more summer time look.

For your entertainment I have included a tutorial on how not to take fashion blog pictures. Please utilize this tutorial so that you never have to look as ridiculous as the woman in the photo- aka me.
Have a lovely Sunday! Thanks for stopping by.
I am making my own sun shine today. Hence my yellow lace dress attire. For the first time in a while Arizona is sunless! Yes- I could hardly believe it. Cloudy, rainy, thundering and windy. Monsoon season is definitely here.
I got this yellow dress from Target- on sale of course and it was sleeveless when I purchased it. It was such a good buy that I decided to get two and make some sleeves out of the second dress.
I am so happy that I did! Because it would be too hot to wear with a cardigan and without the sleeves it would not be modest enough for me to wear on its own. I am really happy with how it turned out!
Alrighty, I am off to enjoy this perfect Sunday napping weather.

Happy Sunday and thanks for stopping by.
Yep, that’s right. I am no longer part of Taylor Swift’s song “22″. I had my big ol’ 23rd birthday last week.
I spent the day shopping with my hubby at some local antique shops. It was another amazing day together!
We then went to one of our favorite little hole in the wall restaurants and I enjoyed a winner winner steak dinner! Yummo! Cake and presents followed and I felt like spoiled princess the whole day.

22 was amazing and 23 is off to a great start!
